Bored, Bored, Bored !!!!

I have never been so bored in my work only this time when I ventured into Sales. I guess I'm not into sales field today and in the future. I would really like to pursue my career in customer service. Yes, I am meeting my revenue target monthly but I can't meet my target for new companies (44 new clients/month) gosh, how can I do this. This is my lowest month for new clients and i just felt that companies don't have any requirements because it is already the 2nd half of the year, some of them are preparing for next year's budget for recruitment. Now, I have proven myself that I hate doing call outs especially cold calls and doing selling, maybe not my forte. I envy my love for being very busy in his work, plenty of work and responsibilities and projects.

I really miss my work in customer service, being so very busy, bombarded with work, tons of responsibilities due to lack of corpcare person. I also missed going out visiting our clients, meeting new people, being exposed to the HR people from different companies. As in I missed everything excluding the jobseekers ha!!!!! I hate them ( in Customer service, jobseekers are not my line and forte, wala ako talagang pasensya sa kanila, promise).

Today, I am bothered of thinking so many things, updating resume (so that I can get out of this company already), my financial problems (how to get over them completely), where to get a new household person for my house and son (stay-in), how to increase my new clients, and most especially how to get over my sobrang pagka miss sa love ko. We last saw each other last Saturday morning and it's Wednesday already. Ohhhh, I really miss him so much, haaayyy, mukhang i need to make tiis tiis bcoz of his work.

Dami na rin nangyayari dito sa office, like there are 2 people whose resigning this month, but then a new AM came in as replacement of our Team Leader Camille, but not as TL, only AM. Good thing I was not part of his Training Syllabus, am tired of it.

I also miss Maya , she's on leave for 2 days already. And by the way, thanks Kim for the Walkers and the Hopia. Shens for the delicious waffle in Chef's the Angelo last week. Ang takaw ni Baet grabe basta sa saging hayok :-) Makakabawi din ako sa inyong lahat ha, may mga inuuna lng ako , alam nyo naman na me lng magisa sa buhay kaya hirap.

Bloopers of the day :-)

What a day today, did my call outs for the accounts assigned to me under Camille's.

Blooper # 1, called Cargill and asked for the status of the Mgt trainees and was happy to know it was filled via JS. Got the name of the hired candidate and was surpirsed to hear :"Mark Chang", i asked the contact person again, said "Ma'm" and she repeatedly say the name again "Mark Chang" " Mark Nicolas Chang", whewww , all the while I thought they hired our CEO Mark Chang, heheheh.....

Blooper # 2, called FEP Printing, knowing the contact person Jun Balingit since when I was Camille's CCO, got to talk to Jun, then I said, "Hi Sir Jun, kamusta na po , this is Winnie of JS.com, do you still remember me (mega smile pa ako as if nakikita ako nung kausap ko) then he replied : "Hindi", I was shocked to death sa kahihiyan, then i followed thru with "Sir di ba you know Camille Pascual, the one handling your account?" then he said again " Hindi". That I got to think, did i dialled the right number? Hmmmm, i asked him if this is the number blah blah blah... and he said "yes the number is right", then I asked again, "Sir is this FEP Printing?" he said " No, this is STG Programming" (still under Camille's account). Soon I realized that Camille did kinda mixed up the numbers, encoding the same numbers of 2 different companies. Then I need to make a segway para di naman ako tuluyang mapahiya... I asked Jun if the person in charge is there, he said " she's on maternity leave, he did not even mention the name (God iniipit nya ako). While we were talking, I am opening the STG Prog. details and gotcha I got to see the name of the super user na naka ML nga daw, and also the reliever Api, then I got to mention to Jun if Api is there and if i can talk to her. That's the time he agreed to me for the first time. And to end the nakakahiyang conversation I did, I just told him if he can just tell Api that Camille resigned already and they can call me or Emmy (CCO) for future requirements. Then we said goodbyes over the phone at last .......

That's it, my 2 major bloopers today na sobrang live na nakakahiya, I did make kwento to Tinette about it and she was really laughing at me of what happened.

Grabe, sana tom will not be the same :)

Bells Palsy Disease !!!! - We should be aware

It was a tiring weekend for me, I have made a general cleaning in my house, got to do all the chores and I have obligated my son to help me out , good thing he followed me :-) It was Sunday afternoon and watching S-Files and got my attention of the issue bout Jan Marini and her husband Gerard Pizzaras. Gerard woke up morning of July 26 and saw his right face as "ngiwi" , he then rushed to the village clinic and was adviced that he has Bells Palsy, he ran home, woke up his wife Jan and told her of his illness that was sudden. This got me to watch and listen very well because no one can tell that this may also happen to us anytime. The couple also captured my heart being very brave and bening with each other because of Love. I will never forget the phone patch Gerard made for Jan telling her how much he loves her wife and daughter. We should realize how important our life today whatever trials we have as long as we have God in our spirit , God will always tell us "Don't worry. i'll be just beside you". Gerard also mention that we should not be stressed of our problems in life just believe in the Lord our God and we will survive. He now realized that he's complete because of his wife and daugther without them he will be nothing.

NOW, WE SHOULD TAKE CARE OF OURSELVES AND LIFE BECAUSE THIS MIGHT BE THE ONLY ONE WE GOT SO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF IT :-)

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ !

Here are some facts about Bells Palsy -
Facial nerve
The facial nerve is damaged most commonly by swelling within the facial canal in the temporal bone that results from viral infection. This causes Bell palsy, an abrupt weakness of all the facial muscles on one side of the face that is often accompanied by pain around the ear, unusual loudness of sounds on the same side, and loss of taste on the front of the tongue.

Bell's palsy is an acquired weakness of one side of the face, due to an injury to the facial nerve. The symptoms on the affected side typically include inability to close the eye, to smile, wrinkle the forehead and whistle. Speech may be mildly slurred. Tearing occurs because the eye does not close completely. Taste sensation may be diminished on the front half of the tongue. Sounds may appear louder on the affected side (hyperacusis) -- this may be caused by paralysis of the stapedius muscle but also occurs independantly. Papillitis may be seen of the fungiform papillae of the affected side. Bell's palsy usually develops over hours to days. The peak involvement usually happens within several days. Mild pain behind the ear is common at onset, as is a subjective sensation of "numbness" of the affected side. Usually it is first noticed when a persons observes it in a mirror, or on eating because food tends to collect between the cheek and gums.

How is Bell's Palsy treated ?
All patients with Bell's palsy need to take precautions against drying of the eye on the side of facial weakness. This will generally include use of artificial tears during the day, and use of "lacrilube" jelly at night. Eye patches are often counterproductive because the eyelid easily gets dislodged from the patch, allowing the eye to brush against the patch causing discomfort and potential damage. A moisture chamber can be used as an alternative to frequent use of eye drops during the day. The moisture chamber keeps the cornea from drying. In persons who have persistent redness or visual obscuration, a ophthalmologist's help must be enlisted. In some instances, the lid must be sewed shut until facial movement improves. Gold weights can also be placed in the lid to keep it closed.
Prednisone treatment is thought to speed recovery and reduce the frequency of a bad result. Prednisone must be given within the first week of facial weakness, in order to be effective. Usually a dose of about 60 mg is given per day in a single morning dose. This dose is usually continued for about a week, and then tapered off to nothing at about 10 days. In persons at risk, blood pressure, blood glucose and electrolytes should be monitored.
Antiviral treatment for herpes simplex may improve prognosis (Adour, 1996). The protocol used involved acyclovir 400 mg 5 times daily for 10 days. However, recent improvements in antivirals suggest that famciclovir 500 mg tid may be a more effective choice.
Surgery is not needed in most cases of idiopathic Bell's palsy, as 90% of patients recover spontaneously. In cases where there has been trauma, facial nerve decompression may be justified. This area is controversial -- the surgical literature is more optomistic about the benefits of surgery than the medical literature.
Physical therapy is not generally thought to be helpful although it probably doesn't hurt. In persons with severe residual impairments at least 1 year after onset, several surgical procedures are available to improve cosmetic appearance.
Patients with Bell's palsy due to non-herpetic viral infection, sarcoid, diabetes or cancer are treated for these conditions if treatment is available, in addition to the general treatments outlined above.
Will it come back ?
About 7% of patients have recurrent Bells palsy. The mean recurrence interval is 10 years. Recurrent Bells tends to cluster in families as well as diabetics.
